Bailian Group, a leading multi-channel multi-format retailer based in shanghai challenged their internal team to develop a new to the market food and beverage concept, riso. Not a supermarket not a food court but an integrated food and beverage lifestyle experience. Riso is a specialty fresh supermarket with complete meals prepared to order by in-house chefs.
Realizing they could not develop a completely new format within their existing organization, the project was conceived and originated with BL.com their online based company to facilitate new thinking by a completely new team.
rkd retail/iQ was responsible for the retail strategy and all creative expressions including name generation, brand + environmental graphic programs, retail planning + design and construction documentation and will roll the program out in selected locations throughout shanghai.
