Following the success of the adidas ASPA program developed by rkd retail/iQ and effectively implemented in 22 countries, rkd retail/iQ was invited to create the next generation of adidas global retail program.
The previous adidas global programs were top down solutions that all regions could not effectively implement. Consequently all of the 5 global regions embarked on their own implementation concepts based on their market needs, financial position and expected return on investment. The result was a disjointed global retail implementation that did not create important brand, operation or financial synergies.
rkd retail/iQ developed a simple and elegant retail concept based on clean architecture and 3 stripe expressions. The retail concept featured an “invisible” fixture system whose sole purpose was to present merchandise by collection and disappear. Anchoring the 3 stripe ceiling and flooring perspective, the feature footwear wall with active light and technology presents the abundant footwear assortment in a dominate yet easily approachable presentation. Mid-floor and center of the store a flexible exhibition space allows seasonal rotation of interactive brand technology presentations.
