These fundamental rights are enshrined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which Thailand ratified in 1992. To ensure that they are met, UNICEF works with partners in government, the private sector, NGOs, youth groups and local communities, as well as with vulnerable children themselves. We fund programmes to protect children from harm and advocate with political leaders for policies and practices that respect the rights of children.
