Anchoring the lower level of their luxury shopping center hisense plaza in the seaport of Qingdao, Gran Vida, great life, is the new to the market upscale supermarket brand of hisense retail.
With their previous merchandise and service assortment already of high standard containing a high percentage of import product, the retail environment however in both planning and design was not of the same level.
As part of major expansion of hisense plaza, the supermarket tenant space was relocated and expanded. Core to the new concept was the evolution of the retail plan to create a simple shopping pattern with clear exposure to all category specialty stores that encourages lingering and sampling.
Building on the concept of circle of pleasure, the Gran Vida planning and design creates a procession of specialty shops with a sculptural and contemporary store-wide design language and color & material palette maintain a consistent brand impression.
rkd retail/iQ was responsible for the strategic brief, all retail planning & design, name generation, all graphic communications, and construction documentation and is currently rolling the program out to selected locations throughout china.
