holpe+ represents a new layer of retail segmentation by the leading telecommunications retailer in Guandong Province, China. Currently operating more than 300 locations, holpe is primarily a product brand driven format offering very little in the way of differentiation and retail experience. That said there were some very clear core competencies that were known by customers, primarily within customer service. These were identified, strengthened and brought forward into the new program.
holpe+ was created as a market differentiation and brand building segmentation format for Holpe. An extra ordinary assortment of mobile technology, accessories and telecom & customer services were all combine within a wholly new retail planning and design concept specifically targeted 2 key customer groups; fashion and business.
New to the market interactive technology was incorporated into key fixtures that will enable customers to enhance the services in their mobile technology in an ongoing basis. Customer service is further enhanced with + club, which offers a chill and down load zone as well as complete service provider enrollment all within the store.
The real estate strategy of Holpe had been on the high street and not yet had moved inside the upscale shopping centers. Retail developers who were previously not accepting of the Holpe retail concept in their developments have all expressed keen interest the new holpe+ format.
rkd retail/iQ was responsible for the strategic brief, all creative expressions: name generation, brand and environmental graphic programs and retail planning + design, construction documentation and is currently rolling out the program across multiple locations in southern China.
